1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hello Projects Pro website, communications, and services. By using our site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms and to our [Privacy Policy]. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.
2. Services and Estimates
We provide home-improvement and general contracting services (e.g., roofing, kitchens, bathrooms, windows/doors, flooring, painting, siding, decks/porches, retaining walls, electrical, plumbing, and energy-efficiency upgrades including solar). Any estimate is based on information available at the time and is not a final quote. Final pricing is determined by scope, materials, site conditions, permitting, and change orders.
3. Proposals, Contracts, and Change Orders
Most projects in California require a written home-improvement contract pursuant to California law (e.g., Bus. & Prof. Code §7159). That contract will control if there is any conflict with these Terms. Changes to scope, materials, or schedule must be in a written change order signed by the parties and may affect price and timeline.
4. Scheduling, Permits, and Site Access
Project dates are estimates and may shift due to weather, permitting, inspections, material availability, or safety concerns. You are responsible for providing safe access, securing pets/children, and notifying us of known hazards (e.g., lead, asbestos, structural issues). Permits and inspections will be obtained as required; permit fees and related costs may be itemized in your proposal/contract.
5. Deposits, Progress Payments, and Invoices
Deposits may be required and, once materials are ordered or custom work has begun, may become non-refundable as specified in your contract. Progress payments are due as invoiced. Late balances may accrue reasonable late fees/interest as allowed by law. We may suspend work for non-payment. You authorize us to use third-party processors for payments.
6. Materials and Substitutions
If a specified material becomes unavailable, we may propose a comparable substitution at similar quality. Manufacturer warranties apply to the products they cover and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
7. Warranty; Exclusions
Workmanship warranties (if any) will be stated in your project contract. Warranties do not cover misuse, neglect, normal wear, or damage from events beyond our control (e.g., water intrusion from unrelated issues, acts of nature). Manufacturer warranties are separate and may require product registration or maintenance.
8. Safety and Unforeseen Conditions
If we encounter unsafe or concealed conditions (e.g., mold, rot, asbestos, code violations), we may pause work and provide a change-order proposal for remediation or refer you to a specialist. We are not responsible for delays or costs related to unforeseen conditions outside the original scope.
9. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to: (a) provide accurate information; (b) make decisions promptly; (c) secure valuables; (d) keep the jobsite clear; and (e) comply with HOA/municipal rules. You represent that you own or have authority for work at the property.
10. Communications & Customer-Care SMS Program
We use calls, emails, and customer-care SMS solely for service communications (e.g., scheduling, reminders, day-of arrival windows, project updates).

11. Intellectual Property

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN A WRITTEN CONTRACT, SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC WORK GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
16. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, labor shortages, strikes, supply-chain disruptions, government actions, utility outages).
17. Dispute Resolution; Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Venue and jurisdiction lie exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. The “Effective Date” will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
